A small selection of projects from Istria to Dubrovnik, and around Zagreb. Each one is the result of long conversations with the architect, the investor and — most importantly — the people who actually live in the house.

Every house tells its own story

Our highest compliment is not the latest switch or the most expensive piece of hardware — it is the moment a homeowner tells us that, a year in, they no longer notice the control system at all. A system that demands no attention is a system that works. In the references below we show a variety of project types: summer villas with large outdoor spaces, city apartments where every centimetre of technical fit-out had to vanish into the ceiling, and commercial properties where KNX and UniFi grew into the backbone of the business. Client names are anonymised at their request, but the numbers and technical solutions are real.

What clients say

Letters from project handovers

Villa Maslinik was our first encounter with real KNX. The NexHome team patiently spoke with the architect, the contractor and me — and in the end they delivered a house that simply works. Six months after moving in, we have not had to call anyone.

Villa owner, Brač

We were looking for a partner who understands both the technology and the regulation — our bank cannot afford a single GDPR gap. NexHome delivered the entire KNX + UniFi system with a local controller, documentation and a review every week. Exactly what we needed.

What impresses our guests at Hotel Hvar the most is the detail — the "Good morning" scenario that gently lifts the blinds and plays soft music. NexHome understood that a hotel guest does not want to see technology, but to feel it. That is a difference no catalogue teaches.

Our process

Every project goes through five clearly defined steps. We skip none of them — it is exactly this structure that separates a successful KNX project from improvisation that falls apart after the first year. 1. Discovery (1–2 weeks) Conversations with the investor and the architect. Site visit or drawings review. We identify the real problems — often not where the client expects them at the start. 2. Design (2–3 weeks) We draw the system block diagram, write the scenario description and deliver a fixed-price quotation. The client gets a document they can show to the architect and the contractor, and we get a checklist of every point we owe. 3. Installation (in parallel with construction) We coordinate with the electrician. We lay KNX and network cables, install distribution boards and control devices, and document every box with a photo before the wall is closed. 4. Programming and handover (2–4 weeks) We write the ETS program, test every line, and train the owner through a 2-hour workshop. Handover includes a written manual in Croatian and a mobile app with personalised scenes. 5. Support (ongoing) Annual check-ups, remote support, firmware updates and extensions as needed. Most of our clients stay with us for more than five years — that is no accident.
